Abrasion Resistance
Standard bare wire installation techniques that are familiar to lines personnel everywhere (whilst similar to covered conductor installation) can expose the line to wear and tear that can impact a lines performance.
Covered Conductor Solutions utilize conductor with superior resistance to abrasion, high levels of UV and extreme weather.
Combined with our installation training and ongoing support, this design delivers the highest possible performance in durability and fire risk mitigation.       

Core Choice
Whilst aluminium core conductor offers superior conductivity and reduced lines losses, practical installation challenges can make aluminium a poor choice.
Replacing bare wire network with covered conductor requires many points of integration with steel wire. In addition to aluminium cored conductor we offer steel Covered Conductor Solutions that are fast and easy to ‘join’ with existing infrastructure, significantly reducing cost and time and accelerating your fire mitigation program.
With less pole or tower infrastructure required, existing distribution infrastructure and longer spans than aluminium can be utilized.

Water Blocking Technology
Our Covered conductor utilizes special water blocking technology that in the event of water ingress, prevents water from traveling and/or pooling in the line. Not only does this mitigate potential corrosion risks but also the risks associated with the effects of increased pressure between the core and the cover.
